Add a DreamWidget to Jimdo

What you needJimdo Creator supports custom code; the no-code Jimdo editor (Dolphin) does not.
First, copy your code. In the DreamWidget editor, open Settings and press Copy embed code. It is one iframe and a short script; paste both.
Add a widget to a page
- Add an elementIn Jimdo Creator press Add element and choose "Widget/HTML".
- PastePaste your DreamWidget code and save.
- Check the live siteLog out or open the site in a private window to see it.
A popup, bar or chat buttons on every page
Floating widgets do not need a spot in the layout; they load once per page and float over it.
- Head and footerUnder Settings, Edit Head, add the code for a floating widget and save.
Worth knowing: If your Jimdo has no Widget/HTML element, it is the no-code editor, which cannot take custom code.
Check it worked
Open the published page in a private window. The widget draws within a second; if the box is empty, see Checking it worked. Changes you publish in the editor appear on Jimdo by themselves; you never paste the code again.
