Pricing
Every plan, including the free one, shows your widget to as many people as visit your site. We host it on a CDN where views cost us nothing, so we do not meter them and you never get an email about an overage.

Against the usual
Most widget services charge by how many people see your widget. That is a sensible model for them and an unpredictable one for you.
| What you pay for | Typical widget service | DreamWidget |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly views | Capped by plan, widget stops or degrades past the cap | Not counted, on any plan including free |
| Widgets included | Often one per subscription, more costs more | Three of each on Pro, twenty five on Studio |
| Free tier | Commonly a trial, or a few hundred views a month | Permanent, with a credit line |
| Buying outright | Rarely offered | $49 for a single widget, no renewal |
| Client work | Usually a separate agency tier | Studio, $149 a year |
Questions
It keeps working and reverts to the free plan's limits: the credit line comes back, and anything beyond one widget of each kind stops being served until you are back under the limit or subscribe again. Nothing is deleted, and your settings are kept.
It means there is no renewal and no expiry date, and we will not start charging you for that widget later. It does not mean a promise about the end of time. See the purchase terms below for what happens in the unlikely event the service closes.
Correct, on every plan. The widget and its images are served from a CDN with no egress charge to us, so a page with a hundred visitors and one with a hundred thousand cost us the same. If a single account ever became genuinely expensive to serve we would contact you before doing anything, and the fair use note below sets out that boundary.
The widget loads in its own frame, after your page, from a CDN rather than from your server. It cannot block your page from rendering and it adds no files to your site. On WordPress in particular this is the main difference from a plugin.
Yes. The embed code points at the widget, so you can paste it on a different site whenever you like. Studio exists for putting widgets on sites belonging to clients.
Yes, 50% off any plan. Email us from an address at your organisation or institution and we will send a code.
Purchase terms
This is a summary written for people, and it is the version we intend to stand behind. The full legal terms sit under it and say the same things at greater length.
A paid plan is a licence to use the widgets on the number of sites the plan allows, plus hosting and delivery of those widgets, for as long as the plan is active. A single widget purchase covers one widget with no renewal. Nothing is downloaded to your server, so what you are paying for is the service that keeps the widget running.
Fourteen days, no questions, on any first purchase including yearly plans and single widget licences. Ask by email and we will refund in full. Renewals are refundable within fourteen days of the charge if the widget has not been served in that period. We do not refund partial months.
The price you sign up at is the price you keep for as long as you stay subscribed without a gap. If we raise prices, existing subscribers are not moved. If you cancel and come back later, the price then is the current one.
Unlimited views means what it says, and there is no counter. It is not an invitation to use us as general file hosting or to serve a widget from tens of thousands of unrelated domains on one licence. If usage ever looks like that we will email you and discuss it before changing anything.
The YouTube widget depends on YouTube continuing to allow embedding and to publish channel and playlist data. If YouTube changes what is available, the widget changes with it. That is not a fault we can fix, and it is not grounds for a refund outside the fourteen days, though we will always tell you what has happened.
If DreamWidget shuts down, we will give at least ninety days' notice, stop charging immediately, refund the unused part of any yearly plan, and publish a self-contained copy of the widget code so anything you built can be hosted on your own server. A single widget purchase made within the twelve months before an announcement is refunded in full.
Availability. We aim for the widgets to be reachable at all times and they are served from a global CDN, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on Free, Pro or single widget licences. Studio includes a 99.9% monthly target with a service credit if we miss it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Build the widget first and decide about paying once you can see it on your own site.
