Video Showcase
Four platforms, one widget
A Video Showcase is a set of tabs, and each tab is a list of sources. A source can be a YouTube channel or playlist, a Vimeo showcase, channel or member page, a Twitch channel, or a list of TikTok links, in any mix. Every video plays in its own platform's player, in a window over your page, and the visitor never leaves.
YouTube
Paste: a channel page such as youtube.com/@name, a channel id starting with UC, or a playlist link containing list=.
You get: the newest fifteen videos with titles, thumbnails, dates and view counts. With your own API key, up to fifty per tab. Widgets on your site also pick up new uploads on their own, a few minutes after they appear.
Vimeo
Paste: a showcase link such as vimeo.com/showcase/1234567, a channel such as vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks, or a member page such as vimeo.com/nasa.
You get: the newest videos in it, up to your maximum per tab, with titles, thumbnails, dates and play counts. Nothing to set up on your side: DreamWidget reads public Vimeo pages with its own access. Private showcases are not readable this way; make the showcase public or unlisted.
Twitch
Paste: a channel, as twitch.tv/name or just the name.
You get: the channel's past broadcasts and uploads, newest first, with titles, thumbnails, dates and view counts. Live streams are not listed; when the channel is live the newest broadcast appears once it ends. Nothing to set up on your side.
TikTok
Paste: video links, one per line, such as tiktok.com/@name/video/7300000000000000000. Several at once is fine.
You get: each link as one card, with the video's title and thumbnail, playing in TikTok's own player, upright.
Tabs, rows and hiding a video
- Add a source as a new tab. In the Videos panel, choose the platform at the top, paste, and click Add as a tab. The tab is named after the channel or showcase; rename it in its block.
- Add more sources to a tab. Every tab has its own Add box. A tab can mix platforms.
- Hide a video by opening the source's fold inside the tab and switching the video off. It stays in the list and out of the widget. Delete a source to take it and every video it brought out of the tab.
- Rows, on a grid, limit how many rows show; past them, choose pages with arrows, a down arrow that brings more rows, or a Load more button set in your own type and colours.
- Stacked, on a slider, draws every tab as its own carousel one below another instead of one carousel with tabs to switch.
Channel icons
The tab bar can carry the mark of every platform you are on, each linking to your page there, in brand colours or a colour of your choice, plus a custom logo. They are in the Design tab under Channel icons.
