A logo slider for Squarespace, in one Code block.
Squarespace's own gallery blocks hold logos but do not scroll them. This is a Code block with one iframe: a strip that moves, arched rows, a carousel with arrows or a grid, with its own settings for phones.
The marks and videos in these examples are well known ones shown as samples, beside made-up companies drawn for our demos, so the widget is demonstrated at a realistic size. They are their owners' and imply nothing about them.

1. Build it
Upload the logos, pick the layout, set colors and spacing.
2. Copy the code
The editor gives you your embed code: one short code (an iframe and a small script). Copy all of it.
3. Add a Code block
Edit the page, add a block, Code, paste the code, save. It fills the block's width.
The honest comparison
Against a static logo row
A row of gray logos is what most Squarespace sites settle for.
What a static row costs you
Nothing to maintain, and nothing that catches the eye either. Adding motion by hand means custom CSS in the site settings and an animation that does not know about phones.
What this costs you
One Code block with your embed code in it. No custom CSS in Code Injection to write and then carry forward through a template change, and no animation of your own to keep working on phones. The motion, the sizing and the phone version are settings in an editor. Views are never counted or capped on any paid plan.
The trade: a Code block needs a Business plan, the widget is served from our CDN rather than by Squarespace, and it shows as a gray placeholder in the editor until you view the live page.

A Code block under the hero or above the footer, where the "as seen in" row usually sits. It takes the width of the block you give it.
About page
Partners and press as a strip that moves, instead of the static gray row a gallery block gives you.
Footer
A Code block in a footer section puts it on every page, without touching Code Injection or any site-wide CSS.
Fluid Engine
Drag the Code block into the grid and size it like any other block. The widget fills the width it is given.
Classic editor
On 7.0 and the classic editor a Code block works the same way. The code does not care which one you are on.
Business plan and up
Code blocks need a Business plan or above. That is Squarespace's rule for any custom code on a page, not ours.

Asked often
Can I add a scrolling logo slider to Squarespace?
Yes. Paste your embed code into a Code block. It scrolls, arches, steps or sits still, whichever layout you chose, and keeps its own settings for phones.
Which Squarespace plan do I need?
A Code block needs a Business plan or above, which is where Squarespace allows custom code on a page. That is a Squarespace rule rather than ours, and it applies to any embed you paste in.
Why does the Code block show a placeholder while I edit?
Squarespace does not run code blocks inside the editor; it shows a gray placeholder instead and draws the real thing on the live page. Save and view the page to see the widget.
Can Squarespace's own gallery do this?
A gallery block will hold logos and a slideshow will step through them one at a time. Neither scrolls a strip continuously, sizes uneven logos to look even, recolors them to one shade, or keeps separate settings for phones.
Will it change my template's styles?
No. It draws in its own frame and adds nothing to your site's CSS. Nothing goes into Code Injection either, so there is no custom CSS to carry forward when you change template.
Does it work in Fluid Engine?
Yes, and in the classic editor. The Code block is a block like any other: drag it where you want it, and the widget fills the width it is given.
Is there a view limit?
On the free plan, each widget can be shown 300 times a month, then it pauses until the month turns. Every paid plan has no view limit: views come off a CDN where they cost us nothing, so there is no monthly allowance and nothing switches off.
